The new restaurant in Descanso Gardens is, you are not surprised to learn, in a pretty dreamy setting. It's offering a three-course Thanksgiving meal; options include a traditional set-up as well as osso bucco, salmon or steak, should you prefer to go non-turkey.

Make the Scene: Georgie
Georgie is at the Montage hotel, the courtyard of which is a modern agora full of Gucci shoes and plastic surgery. There will be food too. Entrees are a la carte, and sides are served family-style and include porcini and sausage stuffing and whipped potatoes. Desserts include pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate budino and more.

Melisse is one of L.A.'s most beloved high-end restaurants, and the Thanksgiving dinner is as elegant as you'd expect. It starts with an amuse bouche, then a course of salad, soup, ravioli, tuna tartare or scallops. Then there is the main course, of which there are four choices, to be paired with three different sides. And of course there is dessert. This is one of the more interesting Thanksgiving menus in town.
